Harvest 2009.
2009 proved to be a very challenging year for grape growing.  The cool spring and summer slowed the development of the grapes considerably.  Other than a much needed dry/warm spell in September there wasn't much to cheer about.  The yields had to be reduced in order for full maturation to be reached by many of the varieties.  Many heart wrenching hours were spent in the vineyard dropping slightly underdeveloped fruit.
In the end. the extra time dedicated to the vineyard proved to be well worth the effort.  Almost all the varieties harvested were fully developed and showed great fruit characteristics.  The initial wine samples are showing much promise.
